CTA Train Your CTA U-PASS provides UNLIMITED rides on CTA bus/rail systems during an academic term (not valid during winter intercession).

Students must meet enrollment requirements in order to participate in the U-Pass program. All students meeting these requirements are automatically* enrolled in the program. The U-Pass is not optional for any eligible student. Eligibility is based on three criteria; one of which is course enrollment. If your enrollment changes before the last day to drop courses, your U-PASS will be adjusted accordingly.

*It can take 3-10 business days for changes in eligibility to be reflected in the the Ventra UPass system as it is not possible to directly link to the DePaul course enrollment system.


Ventra has notified the university that the technical issues experienced by some DePaul upass cardholders on Monday, January 4th have now been resolved. Any student who was eligible by enrollment in Winter classes prior to the start of the Holiday Break should now have a functional upass. (Students who enrolled in classes after the break started should have an active upass by Wednesday, January 6.)

Which campus should I visit to pickup my U-PASS?

Your U-Pass will be sent to the campus which coincides with the location of the college office of your declared major. For example, a CDM student will pickup their U-Pass in the Loop while a History major (College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences) will go to Lincoln Park.

Your U-Pass cannot be sent to a different campus. You must pickup your U-Pass from the campus that matches your college office.
